By: Want To Know It
A week ago I wrote about what to do in Italy generally. Today, I am going to look at what to do specifically in Rome.
What to Do in Rome, Italy
- If you love modern art visit Zaha Hadid’s Maxxi Museum. There are five long tunnels and 26,000 square meters of art!
- Love your wine? Then go on a winery tour. There are many companies that offer wine tours, but ‘The International Wine Academy of Rome’ is one of the best.
- Go on a Roman Odyssey Tour with Jason Spiehler (an art historian and theologian). You can tour the Vatican, the Ancient City and more.
- Visit St Peters Basilica, a huge Roman Catholic cathedral. It holds over 60,000 people! It is hard to miss in Rome’s skyline.
- Roam around (pun intended) the Seven Hills of Rome. There are heaps of hotels, bars, churches, restaurants and palaces in the area. The home of the Italian President and the Houses of Parliament are located in the area.
- Visit the political center of Ancient Rome, the Roman Forum.
- The Roman Coliseum is a must see!
- Go and take a photo of the Trevi Fountain. There is a legend that whoever throws a coin in the pond will one day return to Rome.
