Kane provided the singing voice for the character Aladdin and Salonga provided the singing voice for the character Princess Jasmine. The later released single version that reached number 1, was recorded by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle. Bryson and Belle won a Grammy Award for their rendition of the song.
