Crocodiles eat almost any other animals. Crocodiles enjoy eating fish (including sharks) and mammals. They sometimes even eat smaller crocodiles. Crocodiles ambush their prey. They wait until they come close and then rush out to attack them. They often wait near a bank of a river and rush out onto land to eat any land animals that come by (including buffalo and antelope). Some species of crocodiles even eat invertebrates (things like crabs, mollusks, crayfish and shrimp). Crocodiles move so quickly that they even catch some birds!
