Where do the Phoenix Suns Play

The Phoenix Suns are a professional basketball team that compete in the National basketball League. They are based in Phoenix, Arizona and were founded in 1968 as an expansion team. Since 1972 they have played in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. They have won 6 division titles and 2 conference titles, but have never won an NBA Championship. Where do the Phoenix Suns play?
The Phoenix Suns play their home games at US Airways Center, formerly known as America West Arena from 1992-2005. This arena is located in downtown Phoenix and was constructed for $90 million between 1990 and 1992 before it was opened in June, 1992. The capacity of the arena was originally 19,023 for basketball games, but after the $67 million renovation between 2001 and 2004 this has been reduced to 18,422.

Before moving into the US Airways Center, the Phoenix Suns played their home games at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This stadium was opened in 1965 and has a capacity of 14,870 for basketball. It is better known by its nicknames; Coliseum or Vets.

The US Airways Center is also used by the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) and the Arizona Rattlers (AFL). It also hosts other events such as wrestling, boxing, concerts and professional bull riding.
