The Founding of Apple Computers Inc.
Apple Inc. as it is now known was originally founded as Apple Computers on the 1st April, 1976. It become incorporated on January 3, 1977 and was called Apple Computers Inc. for the next thirty years. Apple Computers was first established by three young men, named; Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, to sell Apple I personal computers. When Apple became incorporated Ronald Wayne sold his share of the company back to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Apple Computer Inc. led the way in new technologies for personal home computers, until people become confused by the various different models of Apple computers available. Then in 1997 Apple Computer Inc. introduced the Apple store and, a year later, introduced the new Apple computer the iMac. This was an all-in-one system with new modern technology and a unique design. During the next few years Apple purchased several different companies to help develop new programming and software for their products and by 2002 had completed their iLife suite which allowed people to edit and create movies, pictures and music in the comfort of their own homes. Apple Computer Inc. continued to change their product and market a very specific brand over the next few years, including such products as the iPod and iPhone. In 2007 they removed the word “computer” from their title and simply became Apple Inc.
