On the soundtrack of the movie Aladdin, A Whole New World was sung by Brad Kane and Lea Salonga. Kane provided the singing voice for the character Aladdin and Salonga provided the singing voice for the character Princess Jasmine. The later released single version that reached number 1, was recorded by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle. Bryson and Belle won a Grammy Award for their rendition of the song.

The song has also been covered by many other artists including; Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Chord Overstreet and Demi Lovato, and many others.
