Who Wrote “Little Women”
Little Women is a well known novel that was first published in two volumes in 1868 and 1869. The novel follows the story of three sisters as they grow from children to adults. It touches on a number of topics and is considered a coming of age novel. The first volume was such a huge success that the second volume was quickly commissioned – it was titled “Good Wives.” In 1880 the two volumes were made into the single work now known as Little Women. The novel has continued to be successful and is one of the most read English novels of all time.
