Why was Prohibition Repealed

Prohibition occurred in the United States between the years of 1920 and 1933. Prohibition was a national ban on the manufacture, transport and sale of alcohol. The ban in the United State was backed up by a legal amendment to the U.S constitution, which was the 18th amendment made.
